ACDP Connect is the official mobile application of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP). The app is owned, operated, and governed by the ACDP. Fana Health (Pty) Ltd acts solely as a technology collaborator, providing app development and digital infrastructure support. Fana Health does not control, endorse, or direct the political content, views, or statements published through the app. All political content reflects the views of the ACDP, not those of Fana Health.

Political Content Disclaimer

ACDP Connect is a political app. Content displayed within the app — including news, statements, campaign material, policy positions, and event information — represents the views of the African Christian Democratic Party and is published at the party's discretion. The app is not an impartial news source. Fana Health does not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy of political content, statements, or claims made by the ACDP or its representatives. Users should exercise their own judgement and seek independent sources when evaluating political information.

Electoral & Campaign Disclaimer

ACDP Connect may contain campaign and electoral content related to South African elections. This content is published by the ACDP and is subject to the Electoral Act, the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) regulations, and the Code of Conduct for political parties. The app does not facilitate voting, voter registration, or any official electoral process. For official voter registration and election information, always refer to the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (www.elections.org.za).

Not a Government or Public Authority App

ACDP Connect is a private political-party application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of the South African Government, any government department, or any public authority. Official government information should be obtained from recognised government sources.

Information We Collect

• Name, email address, and account credentials
• Contact information you choose to provide (e.g. for membership enquiries)
• App usage data: features accessed, content viewed, and interaction events
• Device information: device type, OS version, unique device identifiers
• Push notification preferences and subscription topics
• Location data (coarse, optional): used only to show relevant local events and representatives when you opt in
• Analytics data: usage patterns, crash reports, and performance metrics

How We Use Your Information

Political Data & Sensitive Information

Political opinions and party affiliation are categorised as sensitive personal information under POPIA. ACDP Connect collects this category of data only with your explicit consent when you choose to engage with membership features or campaign content. This data is stored with enhanced security measures (AES-256 encryption at rest), is used solely to deliver the ACDP Connect service, and is never sold to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting privacy@fanahealth.co.za. Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, records the ACDP is legally required to retain as the data controller).

Children's Privacy

ACDP Connect is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the app. The app is intended for an adult audience interested in political participation and civic engagement.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational security measures including AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS encryption in transit, secure authentication, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and vulnerability monitoring. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel who require it for legitimate operational purposes.
